University of Colorado Colorado Springs (CU Colorado Springs) · TRiO Student Support Services
Role: Marketing and Communications, Front Desk Assistant & Marketing
Timeline: May–October 2026
I led campaign planning, content development, print initiatives, and communication workflows within a broader team effort.
We introduced TRiO SSS to a potential audience of approximately 4,000 eligible students, with 120 available program spots to fill by August. The program supported students who were first-generation, met income requirements, and/or had a documented disability.
Recruitment through August: Made eligibility, program services, and next steps easy to understand across print, digital, social media, and email.
Participant communications through October: Kept current participants informed about resources and events, and documented workflows for consistent execution.
Channels used: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Mountain Lion Connect, email, campus digital signage, postcards, and brochures.
Coordinated a $6,000 print initiative: $1,000 in postcards and $5,000 in brochures.
Wrote five articles across LinkedIn and Mountain Lion Connect and developed student-facing social and portal updates.
Created two marketing proposals for awareness and continued engagement.
Co-developed the program logo and built campaign trackers and an Excel marketing dashboard.
Created the TRiO SSS Standard Operating Procedure (28 pages).
Built a SharePoint training hub from the SOP for Peer Advocate onboarding.
Wrote and edited email communications to keep messaging consistent.

Combined social followers by the end of my tenure
Combined postcard and brochure budget
The team filled all 120 program spots by August using print, digital, social media, and email outreach. Approximately 4,000 students were potentially eligible for the program; this was the potential audience size, rather than measured campaign reach.
Enrollment reflected the work of the wider TRiO team across several channels.
